Ali is the CEO of Tulip Retail.

In 2008, Ali Asaria founded which is now Canada's largest online health, baby and beauty store.

Prior to, Ali studied Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo and worked at Microsoft and Research in Motion. At RIM, Ali was best known for creating the mobile game BrickBreaker during his own free time, which was subsequently installed on hundreds of millions of mobile devices worldwide and was the most popular mobile game of its time. Formally at RIM, Ali worked on the secretive future prototype team, building hardware in RIM's labs to create the next generation of mobile devices.

Ali is active in the Canadian startup world, mentoring and advising several Canadian startups. He is also on the board of Communitech, Waterloo's hub for technology entrepreneurship.

Ali has spoken or lectured at the Rotman School of Business, Munk School of Global Affairs, Wilfred Laurier School of Business & Economics, and the University of Waterloo.

Passionate about volunteering in children's aid, women's rights, anti-violence, and diversity, Ali wants to help make the world a safer, kinder, goofier place.
